1. Who we are
Nodeza ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal note-taking and knowledge management
application published by Infused Sips, LLC on the Apple App Store (bundle
com.cdar.nodeza) and Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains what data the
app accesses on your device, how it is used, what (if anything) is shared with third
parties, and the choices you have.
2. Data we collect
We do not operate servers that collect, store, or sell your personal data.
All content you create in Nodeza — notes, folders, tags, drawings, voice recordings,
images, PDFs, and settings — is stored locally on your device using the WebView's
IndexedDB and localStorage.
The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-site trackers.
Data leaves your device only in the two optional cases described in Section 4: AI features (with your explicit consent) and in-app purchases (processed by the app stores).
3. Device permissions
Nodeza only requests permissions needed to operate the features you use, and only at the moment you first use them:
Microphone
- Why: To let you record voice memos that are attached to your notes.
- When: Only while you actively start a recording inside the app.
- Where it goes: Audio is saved only on your device, inside the app's local database. Recordings are never uploaded, streamed, transmitted to AI services, or shared with us or any third party.
- Control: Revoke microphone access any time in iOS Settings → Nodeza → Microphone, or Android Settings → Apps → Nodeza → Permissions.
Camera and Photos
- Why: To let you take a photo or attach an image from your library to a note.
- Where it goes: Images are embedded in your notes and stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded or sent to AI services.
- Control: Revoke camera or photo access any time in your device Settings.
Internet
- Why: Required only for the optional features in Section 4 (AI assistant and in-app purchases).
- Default: The core app works fully offline. No note content is transmitted unless you invoke an AI feature and give explicit consent.
4. Optional online features
AI Assistant (optional — requires your explicit consent)
Nodeza includes optional AI features (Summarize, Auto-Tag, Find Connections, Organize, Deep Analysis, Write Assist, and AI Mind Graph suggestions). These are how they handle your data:
- What is sent: Only the text of the note(s) you explicitly run an AI action on — the title, tags, and a content excerpt. Your other notes, recordings, images, and drawings are never sent.

Who receives it: The text is transmitted over HTTPS to Nodeza's
serverless proxy at
noteza-three.vercel.app/api/ai(hosted by Vercel), which forwards it to DeepSeek (api.deepseek.com), an AI service operated by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd. DeepSeek processes the text to generate the result shown in the app. - Your permission comes first: Before any note text is transmitted for the first time, Nodeza shows an in-app consent dialog that explains what is sent and who receives it, and asks for your explicit permission. If you decline, nothing is sent. You can grant or withdraw this permission at any time in Settings → AI → Share note text with DeepSeek, and you can turn AI features off entirely.
- Retention: Nodeza's proxy does not retain your note content after the request completes; only minimal operational telemetry (request status, latency) is logged — never note text. DeepSeek's handling of API requests is governed by its own privacy policy at platform.deepseek.com/privacy. We have selected this provider on the basis that it provides protections for API data consistent with this policy.
In-app purchases (optional)
Premium upgrades are processed by Apple's App Store on iOS (with RevenueCat as the receipt-validation provider) and by Google Play Billing on Android. We never see or store your payment information. RevenueCat receives an anonymous purchase receipt and generates an anonymous user identifier used solely to unlock features and restore purchases; it does not receive note content. 5. Children's privacy
Nodeza is a productivity tool intended for general audiences. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because no personal data is collected server-side, use by minors does not result in data collection by us.
6. Data retention and deletion
Because Nodeza is an offline-first app, all of your data stays on your device and you control deletion completely. There is no Nodeza account and no Nodeza server holding your data.
How to delete specific notes, folders, or media
- Open Nodeza → open the note, folder, or voice memo → tap the trash / delete icon. This permanently removes that item (and, for notes, their recordings) from the app's local database.
How to delete all of your Nodeza data
- Option A (in-app): Open Nodeza → Settings → Delete all notes. This wipes every note, folder, tag, recording, and attachment from the app's local database.
- Option B (iOS): Delete the app from your device (Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Nodeza → Delete App, or long-press the icon). This removes every byte of Nodeza data stored on your device.
- Option C (Android): Android Settings → Apps → Nodeza → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app.
What is deleted, what is kept
- Deleted immediately: notes, folders, tags, drawings, voice recordings, attached images and PDFs, app preferences, and all content in the local database.
- Kept by the app stores (outside our control): your record of in-app purchases, managed by Apple or Google so you can restore purchases on a new device. Manage it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- AI provider data: when you invoke an AI feature and consent, the note text for that call is processed by DeepSeek as described in Section 4. Nodeza does not retain that content after the request. If you never use an AI feature, no note content ever leaves your device.
Requesting deletion or questions
Because Nodeza does not operate a server that stores your personal data, there is no account or server-side copy for us to delete on your behalf — the steps above fully remove every piece of data Nodeza controls. 7. Security
Data is stored in the app's sandboxed local storage, which is isolated from other apps by iOS and Android. Optional AI requests are transmitted exclusively over HTTPS (TLS). Because content does not leave your device by default, the usual risks associated with hosting personal data online do not apply.
8. Third parties
We do not share personal data with third parties except in the narrow cases below, each of which provides privacy protections consistent with this policy:
- Apple App Store / Google Play — only when you make a purchase. Used for billing and receipt validation.
- RevenueCat (iOS) — receipt-validation service for in-app purchases. Receives an anonymous Apple receipt and anonymous user ID; never receives note content. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Vercel — hosts Nodeza's AI proxy endpoint. Relays AI requests over HTTPS; does not retain note content. Privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- DeepSeek (Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd.) — only when you use an AI feature AND consent via the in-app prompt. Receives only the specific note text you selected for processing. Privacy policy: platform.deepseek.com/privacy.
9. Your rights
Because we do not hold your personal data on our servers, there is nothing stored on our side to access, correct, or delete — you retain full control locally, including the ability to withdraw AI data-sharing consent at any time in Settings. 10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Nodeza after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
